The PALS ( Pediatric Advanced Life support ) course is designed for healthcare providers who care for critically ill or injured infants and children. It is intended for professionals who work in settings where pediatric patients may require immediate life-saving interventions. The course is focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers to manage pediatric emergencies effectively. We travel to your location or office in Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and surrounding areas

Objectives of PALS course?

The "PALS" Pediatric Advanced Life support -Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%. Topics include:

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to


  • Perform high‐quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) per American Heart Association (AHA) basic life support (BLS) recommendations
  • Differentiate between patients who do and do not require immediate intervention
  • Recognize cardiopulmonary arrest early and begin CPR within 10 seconds
  • Apply team dynamics
  • Differentiate between respiratory distress and failure
  • Perform early interventions for respiratory distress and failure
  • Differentiate between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock
  • Perform early interventions for the treatment of shock
  • Differentiate between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias
  • Describe clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias
  • Implement post–cardiac arrest management

Pre-requisites

  • Providers who take the PALS Course must be proficient in the following:
    • Performing high-quality BLS skills according to the current AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC
    • Reading and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs)
    • Understanding ACLS pharmacology
    • Providing bag-mask ventilation


  1. Review the 2020 PALS Course Provider Manual prior to the course.

  3. The student must email or print their completion certificate and bring it to class.
  4. The PALS Pre-course Self-Assessment & Pre-course Work Is MANDATORY and must Achieve a score of at least 70% before taking the PALS Course.
  5. The PALS ( Pediatric Advanced Life Support) precourse work typically includes studying course materials and completing assessments before attending the in-person or online PALS course. The precourse work aims to prepare participants for the training and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to benefit fully from the PALS class.

After successfully completing an PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) class, participants are awarded a certification provider eCArd card.
